5. Third-party products and social media plugins

We sometimes use third-party products on our websites in order to offer you a special experience or special features when you visit our website.

We currently use YouTube and Google Maps as third-party product plug-ins and social media plug-ins, respectively (hereinafter collectively referred to as “plug-ins”).

In doing so, we use the so-called one-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the plug-in providers. Your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective provider only if and when you activate the respective plug-ins and thus, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, give your consent to the data transfer. You can revoke your consent at any time by reloading the website. This disconnects the active connection to the provider and thus deactivates the plug-in. However, this revocation of consent has no affect on the data that has already been transmitted to the provider. We name the respective provider of the plug-in in the white notice box (overlay).

We give you the opportunity to communicate directly with the plug-in provider via the plug-in. The plug-in provider will only be informed that you have accessed our website if you click on the "OK" button and thereby activate the plug-in. In addition, the data mentioned in section 3 of this declaration will be transmitted. By activating the plug-in, your personal data is transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the United States). Since the plug-in provider collects the data primarily by means of cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser's security settings before clicking on "OK" in the white notice box (overlay).

We have no influence on the data collected by third-party plug-in providers or their data processing activities, nor are we aware of the full scope of their data collection, their purposes of data processing, or their data storage periods. We also have no information regarding the deletion of collected data by the plug-in provider(s).

The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as user profiles, which it uses for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or customizing the design of its website to user needs. Such analysis is carried out in particular (and also in the case of users who are not logged in) for the display of customized advertising and to inform other users about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles. To exercise this right, you must contact the respective plug-in provider. Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with other users or providers so that we can improve our website and make it more interesting for you as a user. Art. 6 (1) (1) (f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for our use of plug-ins.

The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, your data collected from us will be directly assigned to your account with the plug-in provider. If you confirm the activation and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider will also store this information in your user account and share it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using any service of the above-mentioned plug-in providers, and in particular before activating the plug-in, as this allows you to avoid being associated with your profile by the plug-in provider.

For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by a plug-in provider, please refer to the data protection policies of the respective provider. There you will also receive further information about your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy.

If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your Google account. If you do not wish this association with your profile at Google to occur, you must log out before activating the plug-in. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or customizing the design of its website to user needs. Such analysis is carried out in particular (and also in the case of users who are not logged in) for the display of customized advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles. To exercise this right, you must contact YouTube.

6. Evaluation of usage data and tracking

(1) General information

We use active components to identify visitor preferences and particularly popular areas of our website. This enables us to tailor the content of our Internet pages more specifically to your needs and thus improve our services for you.

We use Google products for the statistical processing of data.

If you do not want us to collect and analyze information about your visit, you can, at any time, object to (i.e. opt out of) such data collection and analysis for future visits.

To technically implement this “opt-out” objection, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie is only used to assign your objection to this particular browser. (2) Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (hereafter: Google). Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity, and providing other services to the website operator in connection with website activity and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to access the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and data related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as prevent Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here: browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.
